Step 2: Pool Safety Inspection

Step 2: Pool Safety Inspection

Your pool safety inspection will be carried out by a licensed pool safety inspector.

They will check that your pool/spa's barriers/surrounds are compliant, to meet the Swimming Pool Australian Standards.  This will include the height, strength and rigidity of the barriers, as well as their surrounds.

Should the pool barriers/surround fail, a

non-compliant notice will be issued with a list of items that need to be rectified.  Once the failed items are rectified, a re-inspection will be required to check compliance.

Step 3: Get Certified

Step 2: Pool Safety Inspection

Step 3: Get Certified

After the inspection/s are completed and the pool surround passes, the Form 23 Pool Safety Certificate will be supplied within 2 days, and updated with the QLD Swimming Pool Register.

Your Pool Safety Certificate will need to be renewed every year for shared pools, and every 2 years for non-shared, to maintain the safety of your pool.
